Turkish Daily News and relaxation
Merhaba…today wasn’t as busy as some of the other days because of our roadtrip. Tomorrow will be very busy. Here is what we did today:
- Woke up at 0700, breakfast downstairs in hotel
- Turkish language lesson with Emre. Lecture by Turkish Daily News associate editor concerning Ergenekon, civil liberties, AKP, and Kemelism
- Bus ride from our hotel in Istanbul to textile factory complex in countryside. Tour of process and final product
- Drive back to Istanbul for Chinese food for lunch (chicken, rice, egg drop soup, fish, watermelon, cabbage)
- Visit to Istanbul Grand Bazaar to shop for two hours. Larger than Spice Market and also cleaner
- Train to hotel, dinner at nearby restaurant in non-tourist area (half-chicken, water, ice cream)
- Return to hotel, swim and sauna
OSU West Virginia Game – OSU wins in exciting ending – 2018
September 10 – Yellowstone
October 20 – Independence Missouri
