OPA Reading

Ron Hulshizer

Ron is an Advisory Director at the leading firm that specializes in reliable, compliant, secure and scalable IT and cyber for Banks.  Ron is on the Board of Directors for a Bank in Northwest Oklahoma and Southern Kansas that prides itself on being rooted in the Communities it serves.

Prior to that, Ron was the Managing Director of a Cyber team with a large national firm in Oklahoma City.  In his free time, Ron likes to travel to Colorado with his wife Leslie and spend time at college sporting events with his son Eric and daughter Megan. Ron and Leslie are trying to visit all 63 National Parks, they are up to 28 after returning from Death Valley National Park in April 2024.  Still have a way to go.  Ron enjoys Thunder basketball, reading Presidential History, biking, and spending time with his family travelling.

Leslie

Leslie Hulshizer

Leslie has been happily married to Ron since 1985. She is the proud mom of Eric and Megan, and also enjoys sharing time with her daughter-in-law, Caitlin and Grand Daughters Astoria, Rosalie, and Caroline! She is retired from Cox Communications as Executive Assistant to the General Manager for 21 years. Leslie is active in her church, enjoys Bible studies, and traveling with her family. She’s learned to cheer for OU and OSU, and usually at the right moments.

Megan And Brian

Megan Hulshizer

Megan is working for Hall Capital in Oklahoma City.  She loves cheering on her Sooners. She is married to Brian and he is a Cowboy, so Bedlam can be a messy time.  Megan spent a year in Hamburg Germany with the Fulbright program in 2016-2017.  Megan was teaching English in Ansan, Korea in 2015. Prior to traveling to Korea, Megan was at the corporate headquarters of Sonic Restaurants Inc in the Human Resources department. Megan spent a year in Austria at the University of Graz.  She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in May 2011 with a double major in European Studies and German. In her free time, Megan travels, cheers on the greatest team in the state of Oklahoma, her Sooners, and travels.  Did we say travel?

Eric

Eric Hulshizer

Eric is with his wife Caitlin and daughters Astoria, Rosalie and Caroline in Italy after spending time in Alabama, Virginia, Turkey, and Missouri. In May 2009, Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from Oklahoma State and his MBA from Oklahoma State. In his free time he enjoys traveling, cheering on the Oklahoma State Cowboys (Go Pokes!), and spending time with Caitlin, Astoria, Rosalie and Caroline.

Caitlin Hulshizer

Caitlin is with Eric in Alabama and learning her way around Prattville.  She is busy chasing her three daughters around the house and watching them grow every day.  Caitlin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Oklahoma State in 2012. In her free time (is there free time with three little ones?) she enjoys reading, running, and doing volunteer work in a number of leadership positions.

Astoria

Astoria Claire Hulshizer

Astoria is the authentic German Hulshizer, born in Obermohr and caring on the German tradition.

Rosalie

Rosalie joined us August 11, 2018, a Virginian by birth!

Caroline was born in Missouri in 2022, a cutie!

Miriam Rumsey

Miriam was called to her Heavenly Home in May 2019.  She was in Edmond with her daughter Leslie in 2018 and 2019 and spent a number of years in Nashville with her son Todd and family after leaving Northwest Ohio.  She was Grandma Mimi to many in the family and leaves a legacy of service to others with all her voluntary time to Meals on Wheels, the Lima Hospital and other service organizations.

Julie

Julie Hulshizer

Julie, the Matriarch of the Hulshizer Family Crime Syndicate, passed to heaven on August 28, 2023. Here happily spending time with the Werneckes in the Hulshizer hideout in Bristow, Virginia.  She has left a legacy of wonderful memories and will be missed greatly.

The Hunts

The Hunts are our dear friends from Houston, Texas.  We know they cheer for A&M and Texas, so a life long challenge to help them see the light.
